I’m afraid I was a bit late getting this blog going and therefore didn’t post my earlier book reviews. Going forward I’ll post them here as well as on the major review sites. To get back on track, I intend to spend this week publishing my backlog of reviews in order to help the authors and perhaps draw a few people to this site.

Today, I’ll highlight What a Texas Girl Wants by Kristina Knight —  Here’s the review I posted some time ago:

This was a fun read that hooks you from the first page. Kathleen is a woman that knows what she wants and decides to let off a little steam on the beach before taking over the reins of her family’s Texas Ranch. She wakes up on a beach naked with her arms around a man — equally naked. And neither remember that they got married. It gets rather funny here as they try to sort it out and fix it. The last thing she wants is for her family to think her unstable and unable to run the ranch. The last thing he wants is a long term relationship.

The character development of Kathleen and Jackson is wonderful. Jackson is a loner, not interested in commitment(or at least he keeps telling himself so). His childhood scarred him in that respect. Kathleen has a family full of eccentricities and drama. They stay married for a short while in order to please her family and help her get control of the ranch she loves so much.

The relationship develops despite Jackson’s resistance. Certainly a well-written and enjoyable read that makes you smile…pretty hot too.
