Of Eternal LifeOf Eternal Life by Micah Persell

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Want an original, creative romance that will keep you on your toes and reading through the night? This book will do it. Of Eternal Life captivates from the get-go.

Abilene Miller is a highly intelligent, recently graduated med-school student that took a research position on a military base in California, straight out of college. Well-liked by her boss and eager to do something more exciting than the rudimentary projects assigned to her, she stumbles onto a naked and near-death man in a supply closet, and wrestles him back to life. She had no idea that this wasn’t the first time he’d been revived. Or actually died. She is immediately drawn to her fit and un-dead patient, wanting not only to keep him healthy but also keep him safe. Or at least, she tells herself that.

Eli Johnson is tired of dying. Over and over again. Simply to fulfill some sicko’s enjoyment in the name of research. He’s angry and tired. When one of the new experiments chosen to perform on him leaves an opening to escape, he takes it. When the pretty young doctor “saves” him, his escape looks even better as he takes her captive to ensure his successful departure. He wants them all to pay, even her, for what they’ve done to him in the name of science. An unexpected, big problem arises in that he can’t seem to shake the feeling that this woman belongs with him. Really belongs with him.

Of Eternal Life throws the reader straight into the action and keeps you there to the finish. An exciting and very sensual read. It has a unique story plot that I found refreshing. The way the relationship develops and then endures is quite creative. Persell has a great future and I look forward to seeing more from her.
