Thank you for hosting me today with the release of Harvest Moon, book two in the Blue Moon Lake Romances. I thought your readers might enjoy a little “off-page” look at Veronica Sussingham, heroine Harvest Moon.
Question: Welcome Veronica. What is your greatest regret?
Veronica: Starting right out with a tough one, huh? Back in my senior year of grad school, I was assaulted by a man I met at a party. It changed me. I had plans to take a job away from my hometown, start a life in the city. But the attack left me so filled with fear I returned to the one place I could feel comfortable…my hometown of Northbridge. What happened was something I never shared with anybody—I had my reasons. But did I miss out on a different life? Guess I’ll never know….
Question: What’s your motto?
Veronica: Find joy in music. I’m a singer. Music relaxes me, helps me let down my guard. And boy oh boy, do I keep my guard up…especially around men.
Question: What is the trait you most deplore in yourself?
Veronica: My inability to trust. I can see that it’s there, but letting go is hard. I recently met this man…well, we got stuck on an elevator together and then it turns out he’s my friend’s brother-in-law. Trent Jamieson is his name. He seems hell-bent on making me trust him. Fat chance. He’s come up with all these silly ways to make me trust him. Imagine that?
Question: So you don’t think you’ll ever trust him?
Veronica: I will admit, he has a certain charm. And a certain vulnerability that makes me want to like him. But it’s hard letting go of caution. So, if you want to see what happens, read Harvest Moon…

Veronica Sussingham may just be his toughest student yet. Because how can he show the vulnerable beauty that some men are worth letting your guard down for?
Veronica returned to her hometown seeking shelter for her shattered spirit. The last thing she needs is a blue-eyed charmer who wants to show her how to live—and love—again. Then she discovers Trent is not just another admirer, but a man who knows her deepest secrets.
