My rating: 4 of 5 stars
Wild Horses by D’Ann Lindun is an interesting romantic suspense that follows Castana Castillo as she searches for her missing brother, a wild horse activist bent on saving the last of a group of Wild Horses in the Arizona wilds. She happens on Jake Breton, an FBI Agent investigating some unexplained deaths that seem to involve her brother. Jake suffers from heat exposure and she rescues and nurses him to health. Jake then follows along with Castana in her search for her brother hoping to find more clues.
Ms. Lindun’s writing is concise and interesting. She uses good description that draws a reader in. This would be a good book for the outdoorswoman or any person that has a love for horses. She writes the affection for the native wild horses with heartfelt sincerity.
The relationship between Jake and Castana grows despite their resistance, and the sensuality between them is strong.
